A Journey of Tenacious Reclamation: The Quiet Story of a Brand's Rebirth

Hello Observers,

A story is being told, and if you listen, you can see it.

It's amazing what a few weeks of focused intention can reveal. For so long, I felt my life was a collection of disparate chapters: a son of the Appalachian mountains, a soldier, a student, and a business owner. But in the quiet moments of recent reflection, a single, profound truth has emerged to connect them all. My life, like my art, is a journey of Tenacious Reclamation.

My art practice, Moore By Design, is built on this very idea. It's the philosophy that beauty is not just found—it's reclaimed. It's the persistent, unyielding process by which nature reclaims what is broken, forgotten, or discarded. It's the belief that decay is a vital and beautiful part of a larger, more perfect design.

Over the past few weeks, you've seen me work on pieces like

"Future Past" is an assemblage of forgotten materials that became a commentary on our societal legacy. You've also seen the journey of a discarded piece of wood from the Chattahoochee River become the

"Lamp of Reclamation", a luminaire that illuminates the profound story within its reclaimed heart. These are not just art projects; they are living artifacts of a philosophy in action.

But the most essential act of reclamation has been my own. At the age of 55, I've had to reclaim my purpose, letting go of the "somebody" I was to become the artist I was always meant to be. This journey, guided by a simple hope for a rainbow and a pot of gold, has led to the rebirth of my brand, Moore By Design LLC. And so, the story continues. Every piece I create, every story I share, and every conversation I have is a testament to this journey. It is a quiet, deliberate mission to add a much-needed layer of peace and profound meaning to a noisy and fast-paced world.

I invite you to be a part of this story. What quiet moment of reclamation have you witnessed in your own life? What forgotten story is waiting to be told?

Legacy is a persistent Journey, may your stories be filled with…

Respectfully,

Robert Edward Moore
